Don’t just take our word for why guests of the Lake Geneva Region enjoy their time here. Instead, listen to our clients.
"Our members were unstinting in their praise of the venue, the hotels, the food, the weather and the beautiful city. There were many comments such as:
The International Security Forum who came from the UK to Montreux in 1999
"I would like to thank you and the team in Switzerland. Montreux is truly a fabulous destination (even in the rain), and I have returned to the office full of wonderful memories, sights and sounds, which will stay with me forever. I have always been a fan of Switzerland for both conference and incentive groups, and now I have to say that once the new Wellness Center at the Montreux Palace is completed, there will be few hotels in Europe to compete."
Vicki Williams, Project Manager, Carrick Travel Ltd., UK
"Thank you very much for all your help wonderful visit. I have a group for next September 2002 and hope to get quotes together in August for them and plan to encourage Montreux for two nights. Thanks again to your staff for all the help and assistance."
Gail Black, FTC Travel, Switzerland Network Member, Georgia, USA
"From now on, I will surely say: What about Montreux!"
Zeevalk, who formed his impressions after a family trip last May during the EIBTM in Geneva, thought Montreux was "simply great." He felt that it was a nice place to visit as a tourist but pointed out the variety of options on offer to build an impressive incentive program.
"Good conference facilities, reasonable number of first-class hotels, an airport nearby and beautiful venues for exclusive gala dinners are brilliant for conferences, but these elements are not strong enough to convince someone to choose Montreux as an incentive destination. After all, there are so many other wonderful incentive destination around the world," Zeevalk explains.
"But I think Montreux is indeed a very interesting incentive-destination. The surroundings have much to offer. Montreux’s strongest USP is the possibility to combine morning skiing on the glacier snow (glacier Les Diablerets) followed by water skiing in the afternoon on the Lake Leman. This is quite unique.
"Other ideas which appealed to me were the range of snow activities on the glacier, like sliding in inner tubes, ski bob or snow scoot races, and snow shoe races. Treasure hunting also is fun in Montreux with its variety of transport including boats.
Treasure hunting by vintage cars is possible and would be a particularly fitting incentive program for car dealers."Here are just a few other ideas that were appealing in Montreux-Vevey:
Eric Zeevalk, Manager Operations for the Incentives & Conferences Department, Road Air Travel (Incentive House in The Netherlands)
It’s a beautiful city and the people are very hospitable and friendly.
