Lake Geneva Region Tourist Office, François Michel

François Michel brings substantial experience to his post as Vice President of the Lake Geneva Region Tourist Office. In 1980 he joined the Montreux Convention and Tourist Office as a sales executive and was responsible for the development of sales activities in France and North America, particularly in the US market. In 1990 he was appointed director of sales and promotion for the Montreux Tourist Office and oversaw all operations, including meeting and convention services. He joined the Lake Geneva Region Tourist Office in 1995 as Vice President.

Geneva Tourism, Beat Dreier

Originally from Switzerland’s political capital, Berne, Beat Dreier moved to Geneva in 1977 to work for Swissair. After nine years in various positions and services - such as reservations, tickets offices and sales - he was sent abroad in 1986. He pursued his career as Sales Manager in Morocco, Ghana and Germany, and served as Director of Sales & Marketing in Egypt. In early 1994 he decided to return to Geneva where he joined Geneva Tourism as Director of Sales & Promotion. He was appointed Vice President in 2000.

"I wanted to go back to Geneva because the city and its surrounding areas offer such a great quality of life", he explains. "Its cosmopolitan atmosphere and the excellent infrastructure for such a small town, combined with the beauty of the environment, are simply unique. This is also why Geneva is one of the world’s leading sites for international meetings or conventions and every year attracts numerous incentive groups and leisure travelers."

Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau, Mrs Tanja Dubas

Mrs Dubas has been working for Lausanne Tourisme since January 1st, 2004 as Sales and Promotion Manager on the German, English, Swiss, and Italian markets as well as those of the Eastern European countries. Before being committed within our office, Tanja Meier achieved a hotel management formation in Zürich and obtained a federal diploma of technician in marketing of the SAWI school. She then worked at the Mirador Hotel, Mont-Pélerin. Engaged as responsible in charge of the Sales and Marketing department at the Mövenpick Hotel in Lausanne in 1999, she remained there until the end of 2003.

In order to make known in an optimal way the attractivity of our city as regards leisure and business tourism, Mrs Dubas will be surrounded by two particularly powerful persons in charge of Sales, Mrs Julia Kuchenmüller and Mr Luis Lavie, a personal assistant and two marketing assistants. Mrs Dubas will be able to count on the total support of the board and 20 collaborators of the other departments of Lausanne Tourisme.

Montreux/Vevey Tourism, Harry John

Originally from Leukerbad, a spa and ski resort in the Matterhorn Region, Harry John went to the Swiss School of Tourism and started working at the tourist office located in his home town. In 1995 he obtained his Tourism Expert Diploma and was appointed head of the Marketing and Sales Department at Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau in 1997. He has been a member of SITE since 1995. He worked at Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau for 10 years.

In 2000 he was named President of Montreux Tourism, which became Montreux-Vevey Tourism in the beginning of 2001.

Montreux-Vevey Tourism acts as a DMC for the Montreux-Vevey area. "Montreux-Vevey is one of the top incentive destinations in Switzerland", John states. "The area is extremely beautiful, bounded by Lake Geneva, the mountains and vineyards. It is also a dynamic area known for its music festivals and events."

Montreux-Vevey Tourism, Dennis Migletz

Having over 30 years of experience in the travel industry, Mr. Migletz began his career with United Airlines. He joined Swissair in Cleveland, Ohio as a Sales Representative and was later transferred to Columbus. In 1980 he was promoted to Minneapolis as the Swissair District Manager for five upper Midwest States. His involvement in Minneapolis and the Midwest with its major incentive and meeting agencies became a natural fit for Montreux -Vevey Tourism. Montreux-Vevey has always been a favorite destination if Dennis’, and the infrastructure of the tourist office, and DMC services have made this area a favorite to promote. Joining the Montreux Tourist Office in 1992 as Vice President of Sales for North America became an excellent partnership. His broad knowledge of the North American incentive market, and his destination knowledge of the Lake Geneva Region, provide all the necessary elements to handle this very important market segment. Mr. Migletz’s understanding of this market makes it easy for a meeting or incentive planner to get on the spot information, advise, and suggest, to make any program a truly unforgettable experience.
